9/19/11: Just north of the “big” contest at Lower Trestles another contest was taking place at the San Clemente Pier. The San Clemente Open featured future rippers hoping to one day be in the “big” contest down the road. It did, however, have a pro-am division that our own Chuckillupo Rigano placed 3rd in. Malia Ward (Chris’ daughter) took the win in the Womens 10-Over division. Meanwhile Thunder held down the …Lost tent while Pier local Joe Stauffer helped with the judging.
