Chris Ward and Taylor Knox battle for a wave in the South Pacific. It looks like Taylor needs some tips on burning people, he had the advantage at first then let Ward slip right past him. Slater said Wardo sometimes "looks" like he's surfing slow - but he looks pretty quick on his feet right here. Ward makes the most of it on his 4 Fin after passing Taylor up. (Don't worry these guys are friends).

LOST.TV - DIVEL DISQUALIFIED FROM VOLCOM KICKFLIP CONTEST LOST.TV - Check out the clip below of Ryan Divel attempting a kickflip on his longboard back in 94' or 95' (way before Ozzie was trying them). From the ...Lost movie What's Really Go'in On. Apparently Volcom is offering a $10,000 prize to anyone who pulls off a kickflip on a surfboard. We thought Divel had it nailed but the rules state - (1)The kickflip must be a real air "above the lip" - No backwash, No chop hops, or anything in the flats or below the lip of the wave. (2)You must completely "ride out" of the kickflip.
It was a close one. He was ripping but I hit a couple hard & got 2nd. Tom got 3rd. I beat him by half a point on 2 sheets & a point on 1 sheet. He proceeded to wax me in the next heat and he went on to win the event. How's that shit!!! First ever heat against Curren, overhead storm surf & I came out on top. I felt higher when I saw those results than I ever did when I used to smoke pot! The waves were stormy but I managed to get a 5.5 and a 6. He was cool enough to let me take a picture with him. With no Marshall in the final - the crowd had to settle for Kelly Slater, CJ Hobgood and Cory Lopez. CJ won. Adam Dyet wins $2500 at BLING FEST 2007 Rancho Cucamonga this last weekend the Krew Bling Fest best trick contest was the place to be.
The level of skateboarding was no joke with skaters Chris Cole David Loy, Erik Ellington, Danny Cerezini and so many more.
Adam Dyet rolled away with the check for $2500 big ones!
Dyet landed a nollie bigspin lipslide down the rail to take home the best trick and Billy Marks ended up with the overall ripper of all four obstacles taking home a nice check.

JAVIER SWAYNE WINS PAN AMERICAN GAMES Peruvian Javier Swayne recently won the Open Mens Division of the 2007 Pan-American Surfing Games in Iquique, Chile. Javier came from behind in the dying seconds of the final to move from 4th to 1st and defeat fellow finalists Eric de Souza (BRA), Gilberth Brown (CRI) and Gabriel Aramburu(PER). Thanks to Javier Team Peru finished a strong 3rd overall in the competition. Congrats Javier and Team Peru.

With Duffy’s girlfriend Chia (who is 8 months pregnant), he will soon be in unfamiliar territory! With the baby comes the strollers, cribs, car seats, and a grip load of diapers that could get expensive.

KOLOHE ANDINO AND ANDREW DOHENY WIN SIMA SURFING AMERICA CHAMPIONSHIP ON MAYHEM SHAPES San Clemente's Kolohe Andino won the 14 and under division at the 2007 Surfing America Championships while Andrew Doheny won the 16 and under dividsion last week at Huntington Beach Pier on their Mayhem Shapes, the SIMA/Surfing America USA Championships gave America's next generation of rippers a chance at the USA Surf Team. Also making the 16 and under final was another San Clemente local Riley Metcalf. In the Girls under 16 division Nage Melamed came in an impressive 4th place. 11/9/2007 - Joel Centeio wins. Mason Ho second. Mason lead the entire final until Joel got the second score he needed at the buzzer. He almost didn't get to surf in the contest because he was in Brasil surfing a 6*. Mason had some of the most exciting heats of the day, coming from behind in the quarters and semis at the last second to advance to the final. The recent art show we put on featuring Mike Losness and Christina Scannapiego was our first attempt at being truly artsy-fartsy. As many of you are aware, we're pretty good at buffoonery. Check it Argentina was off the chain this year with a grip of new snow.
I went with Absinthe to film for their TV show Flipside and
hit up the South America Snow Sessions camp.
The trip consisted of insane terrain, late nights at the disco, girls, cool new hommies and steak.
We got lots of good footy and happened to be in town for the Winter Film Contest which put on a really fun party.

Diego doing his signature huge 540’s and big airs and also landing a stale fish 720 that gave him enough points for 2nd in the finals. San Clemente Amateur Skate Contest The 7th annual San Clemente Open Skateboard contest was good times for all the local kids in the area.. The city of San Clemente has been putting on this event for 7 years and it's gained allot of momentum. There was over 120 amateur skaters who competed in the contest last Saturday Sept 15th. From ages 7 to 30 there was no shortage of good skating. With live music DJ, prizes and giveaways from over 20 different vendors, everybody had a good time!

ASR game of S.K.A.T.E The éS Game of SKATE 2007 Pro was held at the San Diego Convention Center on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the ASR Trade show. LOST team riders Adam Dyet and Danny Fuenzalida had their names on the list of invite-only pros to compete for the $10,000 game of S.K.A.T.E.
Dyet and Fuenzalida went down first round but didn’t go down easy. Dyet went down to Joey Brezinski, and Fuenzalida lost to Kelly Hart. Check out a few clips of Dyet and Fuenzalida getting their game of skate on.

CARLSON, TIMMY TURNER AND LOST WEBGUY CRASH IN BAJA...CHRIS WARD SURVIVES. New information on the whereabouts of Chris Ward, Teddy Navarro and an anonymous Lost videographer have just come in. Apparently they were lost on foot with no water or food in the deserts of southern Baja for days after getting caught by Hurricane John. They eventually hiked out of the mountains and found a ride back to town and got a flight out in time for Chris to make his heat at the Lowers WCT. Carlson has now won three out of the last four airshows he's entered. JESSE HEILMAN WINS TOMMY TANT MEMORIAL CONTEST 11/13/2006: Jesse Heilman won the 2006 Tommy Tant Memorial Surf Classic in Flagler Beach, FL last weekend. The defending Pro Division champ broke the tail out of more than a few righthanders during the final day and claimed a cool $650 as well as bragging rights over local finalists Pete Jagocki and Jimmy Blummenfield in the Men's Pro division.

2006 PIPE MASTERS: ANDY WINS - WARD RE-QUALIFIES 12/14/2006: Andy Irons has won the 2006 Pipe Masters beating World Champion Kelly Slater in the dying seconds of the final. Placing third was Cory Lopez followed by Rob Machado. In what had to have been one of the best finals in Pipe Masters history Andy and Kelly traded perfect barrel after barrel with Andy taking the win following an impossibly deep Backdoor barrel in the last minute of the final. JORDY SMITH WINS TRIPLE CROWN ROOKIE OF THE YEAR ...on his quiver of Chilli Surfboards. Congratulations are in order to South African Jordy Smith for recently placing 2nd in the O'neill World Cup Of Surfing at Sunset Beach & also being awarded the prestigious Nose Guard Vans Triple Crown Rookie of the Year Award. Jordy was in great form riding both a 6'8" & 7'0" Chilli Surfboard after getting into the contest as an alternate, keep in mind he's still only 18 years-old.
LOST SURFBOARD SURVIVES FLORIDA TORNADO Check out this photo that was on the front page of a Daytona Beach newspaper on Christmas Day. Apparently this guy's apartment was destroyed by a tornado but at least his Lost Surfboard survived unscathed. He may not have a place to sleep but at least he can still surf.

LOST.TV - Trigger Gumm Jumps over 39 cars -WATCH THE VIDEO San Clemente local boy Trigger Gumm was recently up in Butte, Mantana for the the Annual Evel Knievel days. Trigger was scheduled to jump over a couple of cars for the crowds that reached 50,000 people.
Trigger jumped over 39 cars with support of his childhood idol and friend Evel Knievel.
Evel did a little speech for Tigger before his jump with his son Robby Knievel and legend, Doug Danger by his side.
After Trigger landed and rode away he signed posters until they where gone and then jumped on a plane home.
"Justice League" was a local Punk Rock band whose members I grew up with in Jr High and High School. The second singer (shown in the video in 1984) was a cat named Jon Roa. Jon and I first met in 3rd grade at a G.A.T.E. class in which we both were prematurely dismissed for bad behavior. JEREMY JOHNSTON WINS KING OF THE PEAK ALBERGA GETS THIRD 11/2006 ...in the Airshow. Continuing his winning ways Marshall Alberga placed 3rd in the King Of The Peak Airshow held at Sabastian Inlet, Florida. This isn't the first time Marshall has taken 3rd place at a major airshow, he also did it at the 2005 NSSA Nationals. Congratulations to New Smyrna's unsponsored Jeremy "JJ" Johnston who took out the Pro event, pocketing $1,680 and taking the long held crown away from the Brevard County locals. LOST EL PASO BIG WAVE INVITATIONAL 2007 The Lost El Paso Invitational is held at a big right hand reef in Peru between the months of March and April. The contest is only held once the waves reach 10-12+. This weekend we lost a really good kid and friend Mikey Chandler. It seems like it was yesterday when he first met us with his Mom (the sweetest lady in the world!) 2007 WQS SURFBOUT AT LOWER TRESTLES - CJ WINS 4/28/07 FINALS - CJ HOBGOOD WINS. Best surfer in the event - best surfer wins. Judges were scoring the surfing - not the waves selection it seems - which is the way it should be. Also in the final were Shawn Ward, Dayyan Neve and Gabe Kling. Aussie Brent Dorrington won the Oakley Pro Junior taking out last year's champ Eric Geiselman. Standout Nick Rozsa went quiet in the final along with Cory Arrimbide. AVISO SURFBOARD STOLEN! REWARD OFFERED! An Aviso 5’ 10” Bat-Tail Cole Quad (4 Fins) was stolen from the Aviso board demo tent last weekend at the Lost Pro Junior in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Nobody actually saw the guy/girl who took it so we don’t have a description but our friends at Aviso Surfboards are offering a reward to anyone who has information that will lead to the recovery of the surfboard or at least catching the weasel who took it. 2007 SNAPPER WCT - FANNING AVOIDS THE BEBE PUSH AND WINS The 2007 Quiksilver Pro at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast of Australia is over. Fanning wins. Blew everyone away. Kelly woulda given him a run though had they met. Bebe Durbidge on the other hand was getting 9.6s for late drops and quick tubes and average WCT turns in the quarters and semis and the judges were making him unstoppable. WQS 4* PIPELINE PRO: OBRIEN WINS 2/8/2007: Contest is over. Jamie O'Brien has won the 2007 Monster Energy Drink Pipeline Pro followed by Australian Mark Mathews, who got possibly the wave of the winter earlier in the event. Coming in third was Rob Machado and in fourth was Gavin Gillette. Jamie got an 8 in the first 30 seconds of the final and basically never looked back. Rob tried to come back in the end but just got worked. Shea placed 3rd in the 4 star SI Pro - and now he's into the man-on-man quarterfinals in Brasil. 2007 ONEILL WQS 4 STAR SABASTIAN INLET PRO: CJ HOBGOOD WINS 1/11/2007: CJ Hobgood has won the 2007 O'Neill Sabastian Inlet Pro in Florida. Taking third place was Shea Lopez in the all Florida final that also included Asher Nolan and Gabe Kling. Asher, riding his Mayhem Shape, was the early favorite after scoring a 9.33 in the early minutes of the final but he failed to get the second score he needed to win.
