1. All our models are now available in "MARKO" brand EPS foam blanks and Epoxy glassing. We are using a combination of 2.1lb density foam and layers of 4oz and 5oz glass (5oz glass is 4oz fibers cross wise weaved into 6oz fibers lengthwise creating a light cloth that maintains great lengthwise strength). These boards are as light as our normal team boards yet stronger than a normal stock PU/PE board. The added value is a result more than quantifies the added cost of manufacturing. Everyone on our team (and many other traveling pros) are using "MARKO" foam and Epoxy resin boards as parts of their quiver now and can be seen in video clips on www.lostenterprises.com 2. PARABOLIC (Perimeter) STRINGERS. First introduced to us by Greg Loehr a few years back. These dual stringer blanks are an engineering step forward for hand made surfboards. The stringers are located in the perimeter outline of the board, at a very precise point in from the rail so they are not too thick (stiff) or thin (flimsy). The most notable change from Perimeter stringers is great reduction in torsional flex or "Twist". The boards flex lengthwise with out twisting. This gives a more responsive feel off the bottom where most pressure is applied. They also have a more balanced flex from nose to tail. The stringers don’t have as extreme of thickness flow, thus flex less in the thin areas (nose and tail tips) and a bit more in the thicker areas. Other advantages are greater flex capacity before reaching break point, lack of "buckles", and "toe cave" in the tails areas from powerful surfers. We offer the PARABOLIC STRINGERS in Both "XTR" Epoxy and "MARKO" EPS Epoxy boards in the following models: WCT, Whiplash, Psycho Ward, SD-2, SD-3 and Shark x2. 3. "XTR" and XTR PARABOLIC STRINGER DUAL DENSITY (Parabolic D/D). ...Lost Surfboards has been working with XTRs trademarked technology of custom surfboard construction for years. Long before the Clark foam fallout and the new era of board building erupted XTR Epoxy with its closed cell (non water absorbing) foam and Thermo vent system was already an integral part or our custom surfboard program. In the last year the acceptance for these boards has blossomed and they have garnered a cult like following. With new advances in stringers and glassing techniques, the EXTRA boards are the better than ever. We now offer nearly all our models in XTR and now are offering for the first time XTR with Parabolic Stringers and Dual Density foam. The boards feature XTR's standard 2.3lb extruded water tight foam in the bulk (between the two rail stringers) of the board , but with higher density light blue unidirectional foam on the rails. This foam is gives added lengthwise and impact strength as well as featuring all the pre mentioned benefits of Parabolic Stringers. The blue rail foam has a cell structure than runs lengthwise and creates an amazing snap back when flexed and allows us to use thinner rail stringers with out fear of snapping (Its also very hard on impact blows and basically eliminates "tail cave" and buckles.) We believe this to be the most technically advanced, American made, custom surfboard available on the market today. "XTR Parabolic D/D" is available in the following models: WCT, Whiplash, Psycho Ward, SD-2, SD-3 and SD-4. 4. Aviso Surfboards feature the next generation in surfboard construction technology. Aviso utilizes the most advanced composite construction techniques and applies them to some of …Lost Surfboards most popular shapes. The High Temperature Fiber Placement Process allows them to be some of the lightest and strongest boards ever seen. The boards, made of carbon fiber are completely hollow. Read more about them at Avisosurf.com. LIST OF MODELS: RNF- 5'5", 5'6", 5'8", 5'10" and 6'0" RNF-QUAD- 5'7", 5'11", 6'2" SD3- 6'1" 6'3" 6'4" WCT- 6'6" 5. S- Core: Originally introduced by European ski company Salomon, S- Core (Or Blue) boards featured a two part shell of high density foam wrapped around a layer of carbon and three internal foam "struts" (Like an airplane wing) .They featured a "damp" flex and flow like no other boards before and proved to perform well in many conditions, and quickly developed a core following. Between 2005 and 2006 ...Lost Introduced a series of proven models in this technology and sold them all out repeatedly. Due to factors beyond our control the S-Core business has been suspended by Salomon and no hangs in limbo (just as most the production and quality issues had been ironed out) . We have hopes that somehow the project will return being and we can again offer these wonderful riding surfboards. ...Lost Models that were available: SD2- 6'0", 6'2", 6'4", 6'6" Quad Shark (with 5th fin for "tri fin convertible") 5'8" 5'10" 6'0" 6'2" Psycho Ward-5'10". 6. R & d boards: ...Lost surfboards is never one to rest on our accomplishments or be content with the status quo. With progression and performance in mind (and with influence from surfers and board builders around the world) we are heavily investing time and resources into many exiting new ways to make modern surfboards. From sandwich molded with wood rails to ...Lost shaper Rick Rocks semi hollow, chambered, composite "Frankenboards", expect to see new and exiting things from ...Lost at all times. |
